Responsibilities: Deployment and supervision of the Lean Phase I initiative in Asia Pacific. Including 3 divisions Electronic, Automotive and Microchips. The sites were based in India (Cochin, Bangalore), China (Dongguan, Nantong), South Korea (Namyang), Japan (Ishioka), Malaysia (Senai), Singapore (Changi, Jurong), Taiwan (Taipeh) and Hong Kong.

My mission was to be the leader of the Lean standards implementation to reach the group KPIs. Using shop floor workshops to train the people to use and implement FCI Lean standards. Work closely with the C.E.O. and the Lean Manufacturing Director to define timelines, targets and standards for the group lean initiative. Work with the VPs to define strategy based on their division weaknesses trough Value Stream Mapping (VSM), create road map with their plants managers.

Safety:
• Train Safety officers to perform 8D Safety Audit in case of safety accidents.
• Implement Safety barometer routine in case of recurrence.

Quality:
• Train Quality Manager and Plant Manager to perform Complaint 8D audit in case of Customer complaints.
• Train Team Leaders and APU Managers to perform QRQC workshop in case of quality issue.
• Train, design and implement Quality Wall in case of major issues and recurrence.
• Train Operators, Team Leader and Supervisor to perform Red bin Review routine.

Flexibility:
• Train Team Leaders and APU Managers to SMED methodology to reduce the EPEI.
• Follow up of the EPEI reduction.
• Implementation of Tooling Preparation Board, visual tool to improve the efficiency of the tooling operators.

Efficiency:
• Improve labor productivity on manual or semi auto assembly lines by performing Hoshin workshops.
• Improve the OEE by performing TPM workshops to reduce the micro-stops and breakdowns.

Flows:
• Remove the MRP system for all the High and Medium runners and replace it by Kanban system: Leveling board and Master production schedule, Shopstocks, Pullstock, Design and implement Small Train routes, Truck preparation areas.
• Remove all high racks and replace it by flat storage with FIFO board or supermarkets.
• Implement and train Logistic people to use Milk Run process with suppliers.

• A3 coaching.
• Lean Standard creation.
• Cardboard engineering workshops with the process development teams.
• 5S workshops.
• Corporate Lean videos, direction and editing.


During those two years I got the chance to work closely with Sensei Freddy Ballé the author of the Gold Mine, one of the most famous expert in the field of lean manufacturing, which was an amazing experience.

Responsibilities: Lead and perform workshops in order to train Operators, Team Leaders, Supervisors and APU managers to the Lean Manufacturing methodology.

• SMED to improve to reduce the change over time in order to increase the number of change over.
• TPM to increase the OEE.

• Problem solving workshops (QRQC) for quality issues.

Responsibilities: Train operators and staff to the Lean Methodology in Thai language.
